For Babies & Young Children, The Musical Farmhouse provides fun music and movement classes.  During each session there are lots of songs to sing, lots of percussion instruments to play, lots of puppets and lots of interesting props.

The Musical Farmhouse is different from other music groups because of our unique songs, props and teaching programme. The only songs you will hear at The Musical Farmhouse are our own collection of songs that have been written especially for the classes. The songs are all crafted to aid the teaching of music to children to encourage rhythm, timing and listening skills and also colour, shape and number recognition.  Co-ordination, sharing, confidence and social skills are also promoted. 

   What should you expect to do at a session?  Each session begins with clapping along to The Musical Farmhouse Song. Classes are structured at a fast pace, so things keep moving and changing to keep the children's attention.  With parental encouragement and participation, children learn how to watch and listen...share and take turns...get things out and put them away.... be allowed to be LOUD...and know how to be quiet!  Children are encouraged to sit down for some of the time, and are given the time to have freedom to move to the music.  We do understand that all children are different, some want to sit, some want to stand and some want to dance!

And  after a fun and busy 40 minutes the children are excited to be rewarded with a Musical Farmhouse Sticker! Children then know it's time for the last song, so they lay down...

...and go to sleep...   

....listen for the Cockerel to say Cockadoodledoo!....And then have one last jump around before it's time to go home!
