Providing school's with a fun farm environment

for scientific learning
Assisting National Curriculum requirements for

Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2

The Musical Farmhouse offers invaluable experience in several key form covering the science curriculum.
A real life, accessible and open time on a farm in safety, where children are able to observe and question a variety of animals and meet touch, feed and stroke them.

Led by an experienced and qualified teacher children can learn and talk together about the nature of animals and plants, what they both need, and how to care for them with real examples.

  • Enhancing children’s knowledge & understanding of the world, where curiosity can run wild & questions about living things can circulate & be understood

  •
Helping children understand the depth of detail whilst they can freely observe & explore living things in their natural environments

  • Giving children practical experiences relating to life processes & learning how to treat animals

We have an indoor teaching room in the farmyard where some art/science/written work can be done as follow up, as well as a large level playing field and tame farm animals roaming around.

The music that can also be enjoyed fully compliments the science, with the songs carefully crafted to help children understand about living things and the environment around them.

We cannot express enough how valuable and enjoyable a visit can be for your school, and can plan sessions tailored to your individual curriculum needs.

Please do not hesitate to email or call us on 01566 785400 and we will be happy to show you around.
